I am the European AI Policy Lead at the KIRA Center, an independent think tank.

I work toward a world where control over frontier AI is democratically distributed, rather than concentrated in a single actor (whether that's a company, a government, or AI itself). To this end, I advise policymakers on AI and its societal implications, with a focus on how Europe can remain sovereign and competitive in the age of AI while protecting the public from AI-related harm.

I am a co-author of the 2025 and 2026 International AI Safety Report, Europe 2031, and A Transformative AI Strategy for Europe.

My academic background is in philosophy and economics, which I studied in Bayreuth, Oxford and Berlin. In 2022, I finished my PhD in philosophy at Humboldt University Berlin.
